Artist bio:
Born in France in 1978 , Lionel emigrated to Dallas in 1985. Growing up watching his father paint he began his own journey as a painter at the age of 15. Mr. Lamy has shown works in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York City, changing styles repeatedly over the years and experimenting with abstraction, minimalism, and figurative elements. He lives and works in Dallas, Texas.
Lionel Lamy’s art is a journey into the liminal spaces of the human psyche, where emotion, memory, and imagination converge. Over the course of his career, he has crafted a visual language from both ancient/traditional and modern pop imagery that transcends the boundaries of reality, inviting viewers into surreal, dreamlike worlds that pulse with color, texture, and symbolic depth.
