Charming Provincial street scene richly painted in warm yellows and blues that artfully capture the lights and shadows of Southern France. Stylistically, half-way between Impressionism and De Chirico. Behind the gorgeous fountain one can spot a colorfully dressed woman, a police officer (on the right) and several businesses and street advertisements. Truly a slice of life from a bygone past. Painted circa 1920s. Signed "G Racoff" bottom right. Unframed. Measures: 18.25" wide x 25.75" high.
