Two Art Deco plaster sculptures of young women and agricultural symbols by Denis Gelin (1896-1979). Gelin is known for his long partnership with famous French architect, Jacques Carlu during the 1920's and 1930's. Gelin produced sculptures and statues on buildings and public squares throughout France and Canada. These sculptures were sculpted out of thick plaster and painted to resemble terracotta. Both pieces are signed at the base.
